Hello and welcome to my blog!
Thanks a lot for your insane support via Instagram and Facebook, every kind message, every great comment and of course every one of your numerous likes. Without all this I would never have dared to start this blog at all. So many of you ask me again and again how it got me to Mexico and how life lives here, who I am and what I do.
My name is Jenny, I’m 34 years old and I’m
originally from beautiful Düsseldorf. After completing high school, I trained as a bank clerk at a well-known bank in Düsseldorf. There I studied extra-occupationally and i did my banking specialist at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
Unfortunately I must admit at this point that the job in the bank was not my thing at all and I will never again work in a bank in my life. This job and I were like fire and ice. For me it was too dry and monotonous to work off my tasks every day in a prepunched pattern and then drop the pen punctually at 5 o’clock. I lost my creativity and I was bored for just 7,48 hours a day, 7 years of my life.
A very long time, and only through my mentor, best friend and greatest trusted partner in my life have I found the courage to change something and break out of this hamster wheel. I read many books on personality development and self-employment and I was fascinated by the idea of being “free”, my own boss, my own decisions, that’s exactly what I wanted, at any price!
I did not care that this brings with it risks and side
effects and I thought and am still of this opinion, who falls over can get up again. And sometimes that’s not easy. Those who are self-employed take risks. The biggest risk is that you never know how much money comes in every month or if anything comes in at all. Everyone must be aware of this risk and there are no gifts there either. Every achievement is based on hard work and a little bit of luck.
Well, after these 7 years, I started my own real estate buisness. A little later, I started working in social media marketing for several well-known German companies and found a way to do my job “independently of the place”.
For almost 2 years now I live abroad, in the Mexican Caribbean, in Cancun. How it exactly came to and many more topics you will find on my blog.
