Spring Break in Cancún Beachpartys and Nightlife
Since so many of you have contacted me and have requested a blog post about Spring Break in Cancún, Beachpartys and Nightlife, I have of course preferred this post for you.
Sping Break starts at the end of February and runs until the end of March.
How do you feel about Spring Break? The beaches in Cancun are much more crowded and you can find young adults with alcohol in every hand. Spring Break in Cancún is in my opinion the equivalent to Ballermann in Mallorca.
There is the Mandala Beach Club
Km 8.5, Blvd. Kukulcan, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R. There are parties every day; the music is adapted to the daily audience accordingly. The beach club has a “party pool” opposite the DJ desk, a children’s pool, a bar, beach chairs, four-poster beds and a VIP area. All in all, a nice place on a beautiful beach.
The prices start at 500 pesos minimum consumption for a beach chair on the beach (caution, one must then not use the “party pool”, personally I find this pool just disgusting, as it is very small and the people who use it very, very rarely visit the sanitary facilities), 1000 Pesos for a pool chair up to the beds and the VIP area with its own jacuzzi, where you have to order bottles. The party is usually always a little quieter and only a few people dance.
If you want to really let it go, I recommend the Spring
Break Parties at the Grand Oasis Hotel. Every Saturday in March there is in the “Grand Oasis Hotel” Km. 16.5, Boulevard Kukulcan Lt45-47, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R. a huge party on the beach with renowned DJs from all over the world. The Grand Oasis Hotel is a very nice luxury hotel and in my opinion recommended all year round.
I was in this hotel for a day with my boyfriend in November. The day pass costs less than half and it was of course much more relaxed.
At Spring Break, the huge hotel is “halved”, one side is accessible to Spring Breakers, the other is available only to hotel guests. My friends and I were in this hotel last Saturday also via Day Pass. Costs 1,960 pesos, but party, food and drinks included.
We met directly at 10 o’clock in the hotel and once plundered the lush breakfast buffet. Then we wanted to get an overview of the hotel and were looking for a way to order a delicious Piña Colada.
Unfortunately, in vain. There are only two bars where we could order our drinks and they were in the water. Desperately, we have searched for an unsuccessful hour for other options. That was the first thing we did not like at all.
On the other hand, there was an absolute male overhang in the hotel. However, this seems to be a general problem in Cancún at Spring Break, even in the evening.
The VIP area with four-poster beds opposite the DJ desk
was only accessible after prior reservation and order of bottles. In my opinion, a very clear MUST, because otherwise you like a sardine in the can, totally squeezed, without anything to see just in the middle of the way.
We were in the VIP and the mood was good and the music ok. The music was not bad, but in the whole hype about Afrojack, who at some point at 4 pm felt like 3 songs, no highlight.
We still had a lot of fun and it was really funny. I especially enjoyed the party because I only knew it from TV and wanted to be there live for 2 years. The party at the Grand Oasis Hotel is THE Spring Break Party in Cancun if you want to experience a beach party during the day.
Let’s go to Spring Break Nightlife. As you also saw in my
Instastory, we stayed at Coco Bongo Boulevard Kukulcan Km. 9.5, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R. The Coco Bongo is a disco with shows. It’s always crowded, but my absolute favorite disco here in Cancún.
Admission costs about 80 USD and you have open bar. Unfortunately, the alcohol is not top quality and headaches the next day are inevitable. The alcohol is not in any club in Cancún of good quality I have to say. The shows are great and vary by event (Spring Break, Halloween, etc), this club is well worth the money and every one of my friends has loved the club so far because it just spreads good humor and fun. You can also buy in the VIP area for about 130 USD, this includes a better beverage offer and you are not as squashed as in the normal area.
In my opinion other good clubs are the “Mandala”
boulevard Kukulcan Km 9, Zona Hotelera (cost about 60 USD and includes also Open Bar) and the “Palazzo” boulevard Kukulkan 9, Benito Juárez, 77500 Cancún, QR (costs approx 55 USD admission, also open bar).
The “La Vaquita” (open bar for about 35 USD), “Congo Bar” (about 20 USD admission), “Dady O” (open bar for 60 USD), “The City” (open bar for about 65 I did not personally like it. Why can not I explain you in detail, the “energy” in the clubs just did not suit me and also the audience was not mine.
The Fat Tuesday Boulevard Kukulkan, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancún, Q.R. is more of a bar and a good place for a cocktail, but this place does not invite me to linger. At the very least, Fat Tuesday costs no entry.
Last but not least the “Senor Frogs” Boulevard Kukulcan Km. 9.5, Zona Hotelera, 77500 Cancun, Q.R. (Open Bar for about 65 USD). It’s open every day, but the best days are Wednesday (The Foam Party) and Sunday (The Glow Party at Senor Frogs). Unfortunately, I can not give you any opinion about that because I have not seen the club from the inside. He is still on my TO-DO list. As soon as I look at the club, I’ll tell you about it in detail!
